KDP Digital Publications offers professional author and publishing solutions that may include ghostwriting, editing, proofreading, book formatting, cover design, publishing assistance, consultation, marketing, distribution support, and related services.

The exact services, deliverables, costs, estimated timelines, and project requirements applicable to an individual client may be defined separately in a proposal, invoice, service package, or written agreement.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, necessary materials, project instructions, approvals, and feedback within reasonable or agreed timeframes.

Project schedules may be affected when required materials, responses, payments, or approvals are delayed.

Clients are also responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to provide any manuscripts, images, trademarks, illustrations, text, or other materials submitted to KDP Digital Publications for use in their project.

Intellectual Property and Ownership

Clients retain ownership of original manuscripts and other intellectual property they provide to KDP Digital Publications unless otherwise established through a separate written agreement.

Subject to full payment and any applicable contractual terms, ownership rights to eligible custom deliverables created specifically for the client may transfer to the client upon completion.

Third-party assets, including licensed fonts, photographs, stock images, templates, software, or other materials, may remain subject to separate licenses and usage restrictions imposed by their respective owners.

Publishing and Commercial Outcomes

KDP Digital Publications provides professional services intended to assist authors in preparing, publishing, presenting, and promoting their work. However, publishing outcomes are influenced by factors that cannot be controlled by any publishing service provider.

Accordingly, we do not guarantee specific sales figures, royalties, bestseller status, rankings, reviews, media attention, publishing-platform acceptance, audience growth, or other commercial results.

Market conditions, competition, reader interest, pricing, distribution, platform policies, promotional activity, and numerous other factors may influence a book's performance.

Payment Terms

Fees and payment schedules will be communicated through the relevant invoice, proposal, package, or project agreement.

Where an initial payment or deposit is required, project work may begin only after that payment has been successfully received. Outstanding amounts must be paid according to the agreed schedule.

Final deliverables or applicable project materials may be withheld until required payments have been completed, subject to the terms of the relevant agreement.

Revisions and Changes in Scope

The number and type of revisions included in a project depend on the service package or agreement selected by the client.

Requests exceeding the agreed revision allowance, substantially changing previously approved work, or introducing new requirements outside the original scope may result in additional fees and adjustments to the project schedule.

Any additional charges will be communicated where applicable before the additional work proceeds.

Refund Policy

Because many services offered by KDP Digital Publications involve customized creative, editorial, technical, or consulting work, payments are generally considered non-refundable after work on the applicable service has begun.

Where a project is cancelled before work has commenced, KDP Digital Publications may consider a refund, subject to deductions for applicable administrative charges, payment processing costs, or other non-recoverable expenses.

Once work has started, amounts associated with work already performed are non-refundable. This may include completed project stages, consultations, writing, editing, proofreading, research, design, formatting, revisions, strategy development, and other professional time invested in the project.

Where appropriate, partially completed materials may be provided based on the project's current stage, the amount paid, and the terms governing the engagement.

If KDP Digital Publications is unable to complete an agreed service due to circumstances directly within our control, we may determine whether a partial or full refund is appropriate based on the value of services already completed and the remaining unfulfilled work.

Any project-specific refund terms contained in a signed agreement, proposal, or service contract may take precedence where applicable.

Confidentiality

KDP Digital Publications respects the confidential nature of author manuscripts, business information, project materials, and client communications.

Information and materials provided to us will be used as reasonably necessary to perform the requested services and manage the client relationship. We will not intentionally disclose confidential project materials to unauthorized third parties except with the client's authorization, where reasonably necessary to engage approved service providers, or where disclosure is required by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, KDP Digital Publications will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or professional services.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our total liability relating to a particular service or claim will generally be limited to the amount actually paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to that claim, subject to applicable law.
