When readers finish your book and search your name, what will they find? An author website gives them a home to discover your other books, learn about you and hear about what comes next.
We design websites for UK authors with book pages, UK retailer links, events and a newsletter sign-up, set up to respect UK privacy and cookie rules from day one.
UK readers buy books in more places than Amazon. Your website can send them to Amazon.co.uk, Waterstones or an independent bookshop through Bookshop.org, so every reader can buy the way they prefer.
It is also where festival organisers, librarians, book clubs and local press look for your biography, photos and contact details.
Built Right, Built for the UK
A newsletter is the most valuable list an author can own, and in the UK you need clear consent to email readers. We set up your sign-up form and privacy notice so your list starts on the right footing.
The design is shaped around your genre and personality, not a generic template.
Your books, genre, readers, style and what you want the site to do.

UK Author FAQ
Author Websites: Your Questions
Why does a UK author need a website?
Your website is the one place online you fully control. Readers, bookshops, festival organisers, librarians and journalists can find your books, your biography, your events and a way to contact you, without depending on a social media platform.
Will my website meet UK privacy rules?
We build UK author websites with a privacy notice, a cookie consent banner for any non-essential cookies, and a newsletter sign-up that records consent, in line with UK GDPR and the UK's electronic marketing rules (PECR). We are not lawyers, so for anything unusual we recommend a legal review.
Which shops should my book links point to?
For UK readers we usually include Amazon.co.uk alongside Waterstones and Bookshop.org, which supports independent bookshops. Readers can then buy from wherever they prefer.
Can I have a .co.uk domain?
Yes. A .co.uk domain can reassure UK readers. We can help you choose and connect a domain, and you own it in your name.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. We build on an easy-to-edit platform and show you how to add news, events and new books yourself.
I only have one book. Is it worth it?
Yes. Your first book is the best time to set up your author presence, and the site can grow as you publish more.
